Pinwheel Cookies


  • 75grams – Butter, at Room Temp.
  • 70 grams Pwd. Sugar 
  • 110 grams All purpose Flour
  • 2tsp Cocoa Powder
  • Few drops of Vanilla essence


  1. Mix the butter, sugar, and vanilla essence together, with a hand mixer, till it’s light and fluffy.
  2. Add the flour and mix together to make a smooth dough.
  3. Divide the dough into two.
  4. Mix cocoa powder in one half.
  5. Roll out both the doughs into rectangles on butter paper – try to get them to roughly the same size.
  6. Place the chocolate dough on top of the vanilla dough and roll them together tightly using the butter paper (avoid using your hands directly).
  7. Chill the dough for a while.
  8. Preheat your oven to 170°C.
  9. Slice the dough into roughly 1/3″ slices.
  10. Spread them out on a greased tray and bake for 13/15min.
  11. Cool them on a wire rack after bringing out of the oven. Aaaand enjoy!
